It can be hard to stay positive when products aren’t selling, you haven’t hit your sales goal for the month and it seems no one is paying attention to your business. The solution many businesses deploy is slashing prices and throwing a sale.
Sales generate buzz, create urgency to motivate customers to buy and make some big numbers appear in your bank account.
Those short term gains are certainly attractive, but the long term effects of sales can be damaging to your brand and business.
In this video, I’ll share with you why sales and discounting can damage your brand and what to do instead.
Be sure to download the free PDF below for a list of alternative ways to adding value and creating buzz that aren’t discounting.

What are your ideas for adding value and creating a buzz?
What a great video!
I started my morning discouraged and lost.
I watched this video and a light went on.
I’m actually excited! Bubbling over!
I am sooo excited about my product again.
It may be a bit of a learning curve for some of my customers, but I’m thinking of adding value to my elastic bookmarks by including a cute color coordinating planner clip with each order that really costs me pennies to make and yet are super useful. I’m going to make it a surprise gift. I’ll attach it to my business card in my packaging. I had this idea a while ago but didn’t want to implebevtvitcbecauseci fektvivwas discounting so much already that I didn’t want to add something free.
I’m also going to include a safety pin and instructions on how to turn the bookmark into a Christmas ornament,or a rear view mirror/doorknob decoration.
Thanks for the inspiration. I’m going to watch this video until I memorize it! Lol

Edit!! I didn’t want to implement it because I was discounting so much already.
